The Bride

I was born January 23, 1985 in West Covina, California to my Mom, Jacqui, and Dad, David, and brother, Kenny. For as long as I can remember, I have had two sets of parents. My dad and step-mom, Mamie. And my Mom and step-dad, Jerry. In my sophomore year of high school, at the age of 16, I made the life-changing decision to move to Orange County, CA. In 2003, I graduated from Corona del Mar High School, and a few years later, decided I wanted to work at the gym I went to often. So, in 2006, I applied and began working at 24 Hour Fitness in Newport Beach. Not long after having started working there, I walked in on an ordinary night for a workout. Sitting behind the desk, where I would usually sit, was a new guy.

He was cute, but young. I immediately sighed in disbelief that the one day I decided not to bring my membership card, there was someone working who wouldn’t recognize me. I started to explain that I work there and that I usually didn’t need to bring my card in, because it wasn’t necessary. He smiled a charming, boyish, smile and decided to believe me.
