The Shoes

Then, we made our way to Jimmy Choo. After research and shopping we had seen a few shows that were in contention, but none we felt were quite it.

The young sales associate, Andrea, knew I was looking for the wedding shoe, and agreed that none of what they had at the time fit the bill. At that point, we were exhausted and I was just about done. I decided, out loud, that I would just pause the search. After all, I still had plenty of time. I told Andrea that I expected that the summer collections would start appearing in all of the stores and they were bound to be abundant with wedding-appropriate shoes, being that summer is wedding season. Andrea took the lead and mentioned that she thought that maybe I would like what I would find in the upcoming collection.

She went to grab her book. Knowing I wanted sparkly, she showed me their upcoming Lance shoe covered in Swarovski crystals. The picture was extremely low quality, and I wasn’t convinced. She warned that these were not due to launch until mid to late April. Considering my dress hadn’t even come in yet, I thought that was fine and would wait until she called me to come in and try them on.

IMG_5550In mid-March, Andrea sent me a photo that her manager sent from the launch meeting at Jimmy Choo, Beverly Hills. They were pretty damn stunning.

In the beginning of April, she sent me another photo that she took herself once they arrived. I went in that same week, on Saturday with the squad, and it was unanimous.

This shoe was it!

To make it even more special, Andrea explained that this shoe was a part of the Jimmy Choo 25th Anniversary Memento Collection. Not only was I one of the few to own this shoe out of the select few produced, but I also got them before they were officially launched to the public!
