If you browse around, you might find that there are two different types of save the dates. The first batch that went out, was very elaborate and included an inflated balloon, which the recipient would pop using a pin provided,

to find a party of confetti along with a scroll with a message inside. Instructions told the recipient to record themselves popping the balloon, and hopefully leaving a little message along with it.

However, we didn’t quite receive the response we thought we would, or were hoping for. Instead, we found that most people either didn’t actually pop the balloon, didn’t record themselves, or didn’t send us their video recording. These save the dates were quite a large project to craft, as we did them ourselves, not to mention difficult to ship. So, seeing this as a dud experiment, our second batch went out as the traditional postcard picture.
